John Hathaway, Recognized as One of the Leading
Innovators in E-Learning, Joins GeneEd as Chief Technology Officer

17, 2002 GeneEd, Inc., the leading provider of advanced

that John Hathaway has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer
(CTO). In his new position, Hathaway will report directly to GeneEd
Chairman and CEO Sunil Maulik, and will lead both the instructional
and technical development efforts in the creation of GeneEd's leading
Life Science e-learning solutions. Hathaway will be responsible
for development of the GeneEd catalog of Life Science-industry e-learning
courseware, as well as the custom and proprietary e-learning solutions
delivered to GeneEd's major pharmaceutical clients.
John Hathaway comes to GeneEd from Oracle, where
he was Principal Product Manager for the Oracle iLearning LMS and
the instructional architect behind Oracle's Reusable Content Object
Strategy (awarded "Most Significant Advance in Research in
the Field of Distance Learning," U.S. Distance Learning Association,
1997). Hathaway has produced award-winning content at Oracle University,
Informania, and the Center for Excellence in Education at Indiana
University. As Chief Technical Officer for Headlight, Hathaway led
the creation of the first e-commerce learning portal (Brandon Hall
of Fame Award winner, 1999) and first fully hosted multi-site LMS.
Hathaway's graduate study at Indiana University, Bloomington covered
both Instructional Design and Computer Science and he holds a BS
in Chemistry, cum laude, from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
