GENE ED, INC. AND SFSU CEL FORGE E-LEARNING
PROGRAM
Gene Ed, Inc. and San Francisco State University College of Extended
Learning Forge Strategic Partnership to Offer Students an e-Learning Regulatory
and Compliance (GxP) Program.
San Francisco, CA, February 1, 2007 – Gene Ed,
Inc. has signed a strategic partnership with San Francisco State University
College of Extended Learning (SFSU CEL) offering an e-learning curriculum
to students seeking a regulatory and compliance certificate for the biotechnology
and pharmaceutical industries.
GeneEd, Inc. has designed and developed an e-learning curriculum centered
on the regulatory and compliance features pertaining to clinical development
and life science work. Students interested in this program may register
on the SFSU CEL website at http://www.cel.sfsu.edu/. This seven course
program will be hosted on the GeneEd Learning Management System (LMS).
Course topics include:
Drug Safety: Adverse Event Reporting
Good Clinical Practices (GCP I and II)
Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Biostatistics
21 CFR Part 11
Because the entire program is offered online, students will be able to
access the courses and earn continuing education credits at any time during
the semester. "We're very excited about our partnership with GeneEd
and this new online offering because it adds another dimension to our
Clinical Trials/Biotechnology program. We intend to grow our online offerings
significantly in Clinical Trials in the future,” said Cathy Flight,
Senior Program Director, SFSU CEL.
The recent partnership between GeneEd and SFSU CEL offers students an
innovative, professional development program for those interested or currently
working in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
