Chief Executive Officer: Paul M. Eisele
Paul Eisele is an authority on business start-ups and turnarounds,
having played a key role in the start-ups of Home Box Office,
Warner Home Video, and Fairfield Research and in the turnarounds
of Manhattan Cable Television and Time-Life Video. Mr. Eisele
has over 30 years of experience in intellectual property development,
ranging from book publishing to filmed entertainment and electronic
learning. Before joining GeneEd, he was president and CEO of
SyberVision Systems, a producer and distributor of health, sports,
and foreign language training. He holds degrees from Yale and
Columbia Universities.

Chairman
of the Board: Hugh Rienhoff, MD
Dr. Rienhoff has been a venture investor and
entrepreneur in the life science sector for over 14 years. During
much of the nineties, he was a partner in charge of biotechnology
investing at New Enterprise Associates, a venture investment
firm based in Menlo Park, California, and Baltimore, Maryland.
A founding director of Healtheon/WebMD (HLTH) and Aurora Biosciences
(ABSC), he also served as Director of Abingworth Management,
Ltd., a London-based venture firm for which he ran the US operation.
In 1998, he founded DNA Sciences (originally Kiva Genetics),
serving as its Chairman and CEO until late 2001. He is also
a founder of MyDaughtersDNA.org, an organization dedicated to
rare genetic conditions.
Dr. Rienhoff has served on numerous boards, including Microcide
(MCDE), Hexagen, and Vactex. He currently serves as a board
member for Peptimmune, Iconix Pharmaceuticals, and Hydra Biosciences.
Recently, he was appointed to the faculty of the Department
of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Johns Hopkins University
School of Medicine.
Dr. Rienhoff trained in mathematics, medicine, and genetics
at Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, and the Fred
Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington. He
received an MD degree from Johns Hopkins University School of
Medicine and a BA degree with honors in Biology and English
Literature from Williams College.

Officer: Steve Gupta
Mr. Gupta has more than 20 years of management experience in
enterprise-level companies, ten years of which were in international
locations such as the UK, India, and Indonesia. He has served
as Division CFO at Bank of America, as Country CFO at Ernst
and Young Consulting, and as Vice-President of Finance and Administration
at a Silicon Valley software company. Mr. Gupta has a BS in
Business Administration from Middlesex University in London,
England.

Vice President of Sales: Mark Walker
Mr. Walker has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical,
biotech, and bioengineering industries, including senior sales
positions at the Institute for International Research, the Pall
Corporation, and Amicon, Inc. At GeneEd, Mr. Walker is responsible
for direct sales to bioengineering, laboratory sciences, healthcare,
and bioinstruments.

Director of Internet Marketing
and Sales: Terry Carmichael
Mr. Carmichael received a master’s degree in molecular
medicine and genetics from Wayne State University School of
Medicine. After working as a technical sales specialist for
QIAGEN, a leader in DNA extraction and purification solutions
for the life science and clinical research industries, he moved
to Bio-Rad Laboratories, where he managed the development and
product launch of DNA purification products. In 1997, Mr. Carmichael
founded the first company to provide full-service, direct-to-consumer
genetic testing, GeneTree DNA Testing Center, which was sold
to Sorenson Genomics in 2001. In 2003, he founded the Biotech
Learning Institute, the first company to distribute single user
e-Learning licenses over the Internet. In 2006, the Biotech
Learning Institute merged its E-commerce activities with GeneEd.

Vice President
of Product Development: Jeff Narvid
Mr. Narvid received a degree in biology from Oberlin College
and a masters in instructional technologies from San Francisco
State University. After working as a multimedia instructional
designer for iCubed, he moved to Japan and served four years
as a Shansi Fellow and English instructor at Obirin University.
Before joining the GeneEd team, Mr. Narvid was Senior Instructional
Designer at the University of California, Berkeley, where he
played a key role in implementing UC Berkeley's online collaboration
and learning environment.

Director of Product Development: Karin
Ruppert-Turner
Ms. Ruppert-Turner, who earned an MS in clinical
and cognitive psychology from the University of Basel, Switzerland,
and a certificate in multimedia and information design from
San Francisco State University has special expertise in modes
of learning and effective teaching strategies. As GeneEd’s
Director of Product Development, she works closely with clients
and with GeneEd's team of scientists, instructional designers,
and Flash developers to ensure that GeneEd's courses not only
meet the highest standards of quality, but also are completed
on time and within budget.

Manager
of Product Development: Vin Eiamvuthikorn
As leader of GeneEd’s innovation team, Mr. Eiamvuthikorn
provides technically accurate, innovative graphical displays
of scientific information. His material science and multimedia
training, scientific knowledge, and attention to detail ensure
that GeneEd products are user-friendly, instructionally sound,
and error-free. Mr. Eiamvuthikorn is expert in Actionscripting
in a wide variety of graphical styles and character sets, including
non-European based characters. He has a bachelor of science
in material science research and development and a certification
in Internet design and technology from San Francisco State University.

Senior Content
Scientist: Nyssa Hoch, Ph.D.
Nyssa received her Ph.D. in Biomedical and Biological Sciences
from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She has over 10 years
of combined experience in biomedical research and writing, and
wrote several medical educational training materials for two
continuing medical education companies prior to joining GeneEd.
Nyssa is also a member of the American Medical Writers Association. |
